THE GREAT WALL OF CHINA BY SETH, 4th grade
The most important thing about the Great Wall of China is it is 4,000 miles long and it can be seen from space. The Great Wall was built to match China’s landscape. The Great Wall of China is 30 feet high, 25 feet at the base and at the top it is 15 feet wide. If workers tried to run away or complain they would be buried alive. So many people died building the Wall and that is why they call it the longest graveyard. But the most important thing about the Great Wall of China is it can be seen from space and it is 4,000 miles long.

THE LONGEST GRAVEYARD

The important thing about the Great Wall of China, the longest graveyard, is so many people died while building the wall. The soldiers kidnapped people without giving them a choice and they worked their whole lives on the wall. If the workers tried to run away or complain they were buried alive! If the people did not work well they were put to death! Often enemies attacked and killed the men on the wall. The human cost of building the Wall was tremendous! But the most important thing about the Great Wall of China is, it is the longest graveyard because so many people died building it.
