CREEPY CRALY COCKROCHES!
By Brandon lee
Big or small we hate them all.
Especially at the shopping mall, school hall
And bathrooms stall
Don’t leave open your generator
Or here comes the exterminator
If cockroaches crawled all over the
Earth the Earth would be such a curse.
Don’t let them in your house or here comes the little mouse.

TICKS!!!
By: Anna, 5th grade writer
Small, black, not too thick,
They might even make you sick,
They Feast on humanity,
It’s pure insanity,
They have six legs,
Are shaped like eggs,
It’s a blood drinker,
Not a vampire or spider,
But they are lunatics,
After drinking they get real big and icky,
They suck the blood not licky licky,
WACHT OUT for those TICKS!!!

Brown Recluse
By Dakota, 5th grade writer
I am a brown recluse,
Don’t have brown walls,
Or when you look at them,
With my tall long legs I’ll jump at your face,
And rot your flesh,
With my poisonious fangs and my sharp ends,
I’ll keep biting till you shake in death,
Your family will be upsetting,
With your mouth widened and your rotten flesh,
I’ll be biting and petting till my death,
I’m the devil flesh eating brown recluse.

The Queen Bee
By: Brianna , 5th grade writer
Although sometimes making stress,
They are easy to find out at recess.
Their sting is hard but they are soft,
You may see them in a hay loft.
They might be fun but they are not,
They can put you in a knot.
They scare me and maybe you,
So don’t put them in a bad mood.
If you always wiggle and flee,
These big bees might become your enemy.

Rolly-Polly
By: I’laacy, 5th grade writer
I am a rolly-polly,
I am well fed,
I am also unread,
I am usally laughed at,
because I like to roll,
when I roll,
I think it’s fun,
just until the children come.
That’s not all,
I forgot to say,
when you are looking for me,
I’ll be hard to find,
so, I’ll give you a hint.
I’m really small,
I’m also gray and black.

Ticks
By: Brianna, 5th grade writer
When ticks stagger and wagger,
do you know where they’ve been?
They’ve been drinking,
drinking your blood,
that’s where they’ve been.
Ticks are small,
and blood thirsty they are,
but when they drink blood,
be prepared to run,
for when they drink blood,
they can get quite big.
When a ticks head gets lodged inside you,
beware, for you will feel quite blue!

LadyBug
By: Ellen, fifth grade write
Once there was a ladybug,
On my rug,
The bug had spots,
And the rug had purple dots,
The spots were round,
And my rug was on the ground,
Something’s were ample,
Like its wings for example,
They like to swarm,
To where it’s warm,
Then I saw something red,
And then I knew the lady bug had landed on my head,
Then she said “goodbye I have to fly”,
Later that day,
The bug flew away.

Lady bug soon get snug,
They like to get snug in your carpet rug,
They are red with black dots,
And easy to spot,
They are some what fakey there not ladies,
Yes they do shake,
Like a rattle snake,
They are smelly and have a big round belly,
They have circle feet,
And bad in the heat,
Lady bug…lady bug…
They are so cool,
Just be careful,
They’ll drown in your pool.

Horse Fly
By: Kylee, fifth grade
When these beasts sink into you like a nail,
It makes you just want to scream and wail.
Well, these pests are indeed the best at biting people for pleasure
But, when it comes to drinking your blood they are understood.
These ferocious big eyed bugs want no part in a great big group hug.
In summer they scatter near and far and they won’t quite flatter me or you.
But, I am afraid it is true. They can be as annoying as an eyelash in your eye.
But I guess that’s natural for a Horse Fly!

The Bee
By: Colton, 5th grade writer
It’s yellow and black,
You mess with it,
It stings you back,
Their defenders of honey,
Because it’s like their money,
For their up most gender,
The Queen,
They have their best defenders,
They land in your flowers,
But they don’t have any powers,
The Bee

Rolly Poly Army’s
by Rachel, a fifth grade writer
Under the Rocks
In the dirt
Rolly Poly Army’s
When scared
Or shocked
They roll up
Being unnoticed
By you
A resplendent
Bluish black
When rolled up
They look like
An armadillos
Descendant
Hundreds of
Thousands
under the rocks
in the dirt

Its hair is not lightened but curls up when frightened
its type can crawl up and crawl down its hair is also black and brown
it might tickle when it crawls on your arm but it will not bite cause it means you no harm
its hair is pretty its hair is so soft it makes a cocoon then into a moth.

And eat your food steadily,

Ants
By
Kieran, fifth grade writer
Ants are strong,
Ants are little,
They are pests,
They are a mess,
To them picnics rule,
And kids are cruel,
It is unsafe to be with a chafe ant,
They can bite,
They can claw,
And to be safe,
Keep ants out of your pants.

The Ant
There once was an ant,
He never said can’t, His moms name was shant,
He went to hack into a coconut,
(Which he was allergic to),
And he went into a cardiac attack,
He went on a rampage,
And got put in a cage,
In the cage there was mage,
There was much to dislike,
So he went on a hike,
He went to get food,
From a girl named Gertrude,
She was very rude,
She poisoned the food,
This put him in a bad mood

The Woolly Bear
by Autumn, fith grade
Woolly bears are not to wack,
They only want a little snack.
Eating leaves far and wide,
Although sometimes hard to find.
Orange and black it’s kind of cool,
But do not drown it in your pool.
Crawling up on sticky legs,
Standing on a tent pole peg.
Now it’s time for it to fly,
High, high, high in the sky.
So it makes a cocoon in the barn hay loft,
And out it comes a big, big moth.

Ear Wigs
By: Trevor Farris
When they sting
They leave a ring
They make you bleed
So bad it looks like you peed
And then just remember
When they sting they make you bleed
So bad your crabby and flabby face
Will look like it peed
So don’t have greed of ear wigs

The Tick
By Austin, fifth grade writer
The tiny tick is a lunatic,
It’s so ick,
It makes your mom sick,
Have you ever tried to get one out with a
Tooth pick?
Their head is a dagger,
When they bite you, you might stagger,
You might even find one on a badger.

Be Bee Bees
By: Dominick, fifth grade writer
Bees have lots of eyes
I don’t think you want
Them in your fries.
Bees are very harry
Their as big as a fairy.
When they see you with
A wrench they might fart
A terrible stench.
Bees have four legs
They hatch a big nest
Of eggs.
Bees are very fearful
When they fly around you,
You won’t be cheerful.
